Persisent Prayer – An illustration
I just found this audio. I recorded it twelve months ago, and kept it switched to “Private” in SoundCloud. It reveals part of what I have been praying all that time. Some of these things are now beginning to take place.
I pray about a few things. Some are yet to take place… but they will.
My apologies that I clearly had a cold at the time of recording. I also didn’t have a script. I was just having a bit of a reflective rant.
If you haven’t already, assess the recent developments in light of what I’ve been praying for over twelve months, and giving little glimpses along the way. If you look closely you will see that I have been praying this revolution into being for at least twelve months. It has actually been longer than that. I pray about a lot of things.
January 2013: “Mission to the Marginalised”…?
I have plans for how this all develops from here, but I’m not ready to blog about that yet… When it starts to happen I’ll be sure to be blogging my reflections on it. I will only say this: it has to do with the theology of communities.
July 2013: On Earth as it is in Heaven
The previous phase has been reasonably simple for me to manage. The next, impossible. The Lord will be managing it, and my part will be merely to keep sowing, lighting, salting, etc., and nurturing the community of the People of God. It’s like a lumberjack, hurtling downstream among a million logs, just trying to help them not to jam up.
October 2013: It Starts: The Kingdom of God is Germinating in Ipswich
The Men’s Group is, in spiritual terms, highly strategic.
This is the group which will spearhead the kingdom of God in the street culture.
… Prayer matters.
“Pray without ceasing”
1 Thessalonians 5:17
What do you dare to pray?
